Application Process
Because it takes
several weeks to process the application and you may apply before, during or
after the course we recommend you apply early so you can strategically line up
your exam date shortly after the course is over.
The primary way to
apply is on-line. Applying on line will save 7 -10 days of processing time
compared with a paper application. A credit card is necessary. Most of you
will apply for "sales associate". Do
not pick mutual recognition. If you do the on-line precisely
and correctly you'll be asked to print out an "attest page" for your signature.
When asked to attest completion of the education, write the phrase "in process"
next to that item.
If you are not asked to
print the attest page you were not successful. In that case print out a
full paper application (http.//www.myflorida.com/dbpr/re/forms.html) and
send it in with a cover letter stating that you are sending in this paper
application as a "back up" to a failed on-line application. Include all the
identifying numbers to cross reference and if they took your credit card
information don't add any money.
Part of your application will
include mandatory electronic fingerprinting. A fingerprint card
will no longer be used. The State application will explain how and where
to complete it.
Go to
www.MyFloridalicense.com,
e-government services, and then click option "Apply for License" or just simply
"click
here" and follow the prompts.
If you need a paper
application it can be printed from http.//www.myflorida.com/dbpr/re/forms.html
You can also call (850) 487-1395 for a paper application.
